A Prestigious Entertaining Space
A Prestige Gazebo with integrated Fire Magic outdoor kitchen.
Overview
Bringing life to an under used area of the garden with sympathetic landscaping and a large gazebo allowed this client to create a complete alfresco dining space to move from day to evening. Elegant Fire Magic equipment looks right at home in this handcrafted garden building.
Background
With an established main garden and regular use of the terrace with friends and family, our client wanted an all weather outdoor kitchen and dining area. An under used corner plot of the garden leading straight off the terrace proved the perfect location for this new entertaining space.
Proposal
The Prestige Gazebo was the perfect fit for this clients needs. A handcrafted garden building with curved balustrades to maximise space, seating for up to 12 people and an integrated outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen has a timber cladding in keeping with the gazebo, complete with a Fire Magic Aurora BBQ, Side Burner, plentiful worksurface, outdoor fridge and raised bar. To keep the warmth of the evening flowing, the Prestige Gazebo also includes two infrared ceiling heaters and the client selected UV resistant canvas panels on the outside of the building that can be rolled down to reduce breeze and enhance warmth.
As the European Distributors for Fire Magic, and experts in garden buildings, The Lapa Company were perfectly positioned to launch the Prestige Gazebo back in 2015 as the perfect alfresco dining setting – one complete unit where the space has been perfectly mapped out to create a fantastic all weather entertaining area – just what this client was looking for. The proposed area for use in the clients garden had both a slope and an increased receipt of wind in that corner. Our landscaping team suggested reducing the size of nearby raised bedding allowing us to situate the gazebo further back, and allowing it to act as a partial windbreak for the terrace. We also proposed a raised concrete foundation so that the gazebo sat completely level with the patio despite the sloping garden.
The Build
This was to reduce the size of the raised bedding by around 50%, recreating the reduced structure with matching brickwork and retaining mature plants to keep the character of the area. Construction of the solid concrete base included a complete curvature to match the exact dimensions of the gazebo before being topped with a smooth level decking surface.
The Prestige Gazebo was handcrafted in our Kent workshop before being built on site, with everything from balustrade detail to cedar shingle tiles being finished to the highest standard. The outdoor kitchen is of timber construction, with a timber cladding stained and treated to match the treated softwood of the gazebo. A Fire Magic insultating liner ensures heat protection between the Aurora BBQ and the kitchen island, whilst the worksurface is topped with 30mm black granite. Fire Magic equipment, electrical points, lighting, heaters, matching bar stools and Alexander Rose dining furniture were all then installed as part of the Prestige Gazebo package.
